SHCOKINA Kateryna (March 7, 1964, Kharkiv) – doctor of Pharmacy, professor of the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy of the National University of Pharmacy.

She graduated from the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute in 1987, and from the National Pharmaceutical Academy of Ukraine in 2002.
In 2006, she defended her candidate’s dissertation on the topic “Experimental substantiation of the rational choice of modern and promising drugs with anti-inflammatory action” In 2010, she received the academic title of associate professor. In 2011, she defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic “Organotropic effect of recombinant interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (experimental study)”. In 2013, she received the title of professor.
Educational and methodical work. Gives lectures and conducts practical classes on Фармакологія, Клінічна фармакологія з фармацевтичною опікою, Побічна дія ліків, Pharmacology, Side effects of drugs; is the developer of distance courses “Фармакология”, “Pharmacology”, “Experimental and clinical toxicology”.
Main scientific directions: pharmacocorrection of inflammation, immunology, prostate protection, cerebroprotection.
He is the author and co-author of more than 330 scientific publications, including 4 textbooks on pharmacology, 24 manuals, 1 monograph, 16 patents, 4 methodological recommendations, 8 information sheets. Under the leadership of Shtokina K.G. 3 candidate’s theses and 12 master’s theses were defended.
Shkokina K. fluent in English. Studied at the Linguistic Center of Kharkiv National University named after V. N. Karazin, Linguistic Center, language proficiency level – Upper-Intermediate – level B2. In 2016, she completed an internship in Germany at Schiller International University (Heidelberg).
Social activities. Member of the International Union of Fundamental and Clinical Pharmacology “IUPHAR” and the Association of Pharmacologists of Ukraine. Since 2017, he has been a member of the jury of the All-Ukrainian Pharmacology Olympiad. For 20 years, she was the scientific secretary of the Expert Problem Commission “Pharmacy” of the Ministry of Health and the Medical Academy of Ukraine, is a member of the academic council in the specialty D. 64.605.03, held the position of deputy chairman of the approbation scientific council in the specialty D. 64.605.03, during 2020-2022. p. worked as an academic secretary of the academic council, specialty D. 64.605.03.
She was awarded an honorary diploma of the National University of Pharmacy (2014), in gratitude for her active teaching in the METROSCHOOL project “The Magical World of Pharmacy” (2023).
