Graduated from the National University of Science and Technology (1993), where he works: assistant (1993); associate professor (1998) of the department of pharmacotherapy, and since 2012 – associate professor of the department of pharmacology. At the same time, he worked as the deputy dean of the correspondence (distance) education faculty (2001-2010). At the department of pharmacotherapy, he was a senior lecturer (1999-2011), responsible for the work of the Student scientific society (2011-2012). At the department of pharmacology, since 2013, he has been performing the duties of a correspondence teacher. Since 2020, he is an associate professor of the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy.
Educational and methodical work. Gives lectures and conducts practical classes in pharmacology, pharmacotherapy, pharmacokinetics, prehospital first aid and orientation medical internship, clinical pharmacy with pharmaceutical care. Co-author of the textbook “Pharmacotherapy” (2010), reference books “Pharmacotherapy with Pharmacokinetics” (2003, 2007), methodological recommendations for independent preparation and performance of control work on pharmacotherapy for correspondence students, methodological recommendations for practical classes on prehospital first aid, general pharmacokinetics of drugs, methodical instructions for pharmacology, clinical pharmacy with pharmaceutical care, passing educational medical practice for students of pharmaceutical universities and faculties.
Research work. Study of the pharmacological activity of new derivatives of 3-methylxanthine, erysymine, cymarine, and other biologically active substances of plant and synthetic origin. He defended PhD thesis on the topic “Pharmacological activity of derivatives of phenylanthranilic and halobenzoic acids” (1995) and passed re-certification in Ukraine in 2010. Author and co-author of more than 223 scientific works (articles, theses) on the study of diuretics, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anticonvulsant, antihypoxic, hypotensive drugs, 8 patents. He is an executor of the budget scientific theme. He was the supervisor of the PhD thesis defended in 2018.
Social activities. Member of the International Union of Fundamental and Clinical Pharmacology “IUPHAR” and the Association of Pharmacologists of Ukraine. Since 2017, he has been a member of the jury of the All-Ukrainian Pharmacology Olympiad. Performs the duties of the curator of the academic group of students of the National University of Pharmacy.
Awarded with an honorary diploma of the National University of Pharmacy (2012), thanks for the high level of civic consciousness, the development of national and patriotic values and a significant contribution to the volunteer movement (2023).
